The AIDEA Qualitative Methods Summer School was established by the Italian Academy of Management to foster knowledge and methodologies among early career scholars in a challenging and stimulating context.  The course is aimed at doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers interested in the qualitative study of accounting, management, finance, organization studies, etc.  Lectures and discussions will cover epistemological issues, data collection methods and analytic techniques such as content and discourse analysis.

Please visit the website for further details about the Summer School, the intended outcomes and the faculty involved:

https://www.caprisummerschool.it/qrm/

Admission is on a competitive basis.  Around 30 participants in total will be admitted to the conference: in addition to overall quality of content, factors such as position within the doctoral process and institutional representation will be taken into account.  NARTI can offer bursaries worth £1000 each for up to three highly motivated PhD students or recent post-doctoral researchers within NARTI member institutions. Please note that if you do not receive a bursary and still wish to apply directly to the Summer School, you are more than welcome to do so.

After the event, successful applicants will be asked to write a short report.  They may also be asked to contribute towards future NARTI events.

Further instructions will be sent to successful applicants relating to the reimbursement of expenses. Please note that all expenses relating to this summer school will be reimbursed after the event has taken place so it will be the applicants’ responsibility to cover costs in advance of this.

Please note that applicants studying on a visa must ensure before applying that they are able to travel and must take full responsibility for all visa related arrangements including all related costs.

Please return your completed application forms (as one pdf file) to Jo Garrick at narti@lubs.leeds.ac.uk by no later than Tuesday 9th April 2019. Applications received incomplete or after this date will not be considered.

If you have any questions about the Summer School programme or would like to apply directly to the conference organising committee (all costs to be met personally), please email caprisummerschool@unina.it
