Mini conference on: Constrained entrepreneurship – Towards more inclusive scholarship

14-15 May 2025, at the University of Leeds

***Message from Dr Deema Refai***

It is my pleasure to announce that my colleagues and I will be holding the 2025 mini conference on “Constrained entrepreneurship – Towards more inclusive scholarship” on 14 & 15 May 2025, hosted by the Management and Organisations Department/ Leeds University Business School and NARTI (Northern Advanced Research Training Initiative). The mini-conference will build on the experiences of a number of LUBS scholars as well as esteemed external guest speakers, including Prof Haya Al-Dajani, Prof Steffen Korsgaard, Prof Susan Marlow, Prof Pablo Munoz, and Prof Kiran Trehan.

This event targets PGRs and ECRs in the UK and abroad researching various constrained contexts. We aim to drive contemporary debates around the importance of constrained contexts and how entrepreneurship unfolds within them – in ways that promote inclusive scholarship that brings to surface the experiences of marginalised communities, and the unheard entrepreneur voices within.

For more details on registration, please visit our event’s webpage at Mini Conference on Constrained Entrepreneurship.

We would be grateful if you could circulate this invite as widely as possible across research offices and PGR/ECR communities.
