Rhetoric and Writing Course with Professor Rowena Murray – Closed Group (Online)

Date/Time
Date(s) - 16/11/2021 - 30/11/2021 All Day

Audience:

This course is a follow-up to my Rhetoric and Writing course. It starts with a review of rhetorical modes and principles, then explores and analyses various forms of rhetoric used in academic writing in English.

Having reviewed structures, we will look at several types of paragraph, sentencing, parallelism, linking strategies to create ‘flow’ and key uses of punctuation.

Sessions will all include discussion, analysis of writing, screen-share discussion and live editing – all subject to discussion of the pros and cons of different edits, versions, variations and emphases.

There will also be time for participants to raise specific individual writing issues and challenges, and these will be addressed in problem-solving conversations.

Please note that this course is not open for registration. The call for registration was opened to those who have previously undertaken Rhetoric & Writing training with Professor Murray.
